Tiny Roses, Still Life, Floral Impressionism

"Tiny Roses"
9 x 12 inches
Acrylic on Archival Canvas-board
(canvas covered hardboard)
Ready to frame.
$675.00

This one took a few days. But I am satisfied with it now. I don't usually enjoy painting a still life as much as a scenic or an animal, but I loved painting all these colors and the play of light.
My husband brought these home for me to plant out side, but I had to paint them first!

Near Otter Creek 3, Impressionism Landscape

"Near Otter Creek 3"

The painting I was doing for today turned into quite a project! I'll try to finish it up tomorrow. So I am posting another one I did last December. I love the color scheme.

Little Secrets, Realistic Impressionism, Daily Painting

"Little Secrets"
8 x 10 inches
Acrylic on canvas
Custom wood frame
(See below)
$590.00 (Free shipping in the US)

These yearlings are like teenagers! Lots of fun taking the pictures I used.  Lots of hours getting the composition right before I even started painting this one. Drew it all out on paper first.  Left out some of the horses, and changed their colors to set them off.

 Thanks for looking!

Quiet Time, Impressionism Landscape, Daily Painting.

"Quiet Time"
9 x12 inches
Acrylic on hardboard
(ready to frame)
$650.00

This is an older Daily Painting that I did last December. The title refers to prayer time. Nature has a way of reminding me to thank God for things.

This was an experimental painting. Thick over very thin and some "erasing." I used a subtractive method. First I stained the board with light warm tones, and let it dry. Then I added the dark colors and I wiped out the tree trunks with a small wet brush so the stained colors would show up as tree trunks. Then I added the thick highlights. I like the effect.

Low Profile, Plein Air, Daily Painting

"Low Profile"
9 x 12 inches
Acrylic on canvas-hardboard
(Ready to Frame)
$670.00
The lake is still very low, the water used to come up close to the palm tree in the foreground. The pier is just off to the right, but their is no water under it at all.

I had a great morning! 75 degrees and a nice breeze . . . It hasn't been that nice is a long time. I stayed a couple of hours and had all kinds of interesting people stop and visit! One man had a bird on his shoulder that laughed just like a person! My husband even came and brought me breakfast. Can't beat that!

Silver Springs Doe, deer, Wildlife, Daily Painting

"Silver Spring's Doe"
9 x 12 inches
(ready to frame)
Acrylic on hardboard

This doe was fairly tame, and she would let people get close enough for photos. I tried to pet her but she moved away. She is one of the deer that the resort at Silver Springs had rehabilitated.

I just thought it was so neat that she came so close to me that morning. I put her in this setting, which I have painted once before. I tried to brighten it up as the morning colors were still a little on the dark side. It gives a nice mood to the painting though.

Early Birds, Impressionism, Wildlife, Daily Painiting

"Early Birds"
8 x 10 inches
Acrylic on hardboard
SOLD

Just love the morning sun in this little Daily Painting. It is done alla prima (all at once.) The small egret kept coming closer to the great blue heron, then the heron turned his back to me (as he is positioned here) and flew away!
There is also a small alligator in the water, he was one of five I saw that morning. most were much larger.
Don't worry, I was up above the water line with piles of rocks between us! This is from Nubbin's Slough, Lake Okeechobee.
