Birds of a Feather, egret and herons

"Birds of a Feather"
About This Painting:
Quite a few years ago I took pictures of these birds at sunset all feeding near each other, it was very cool to see the water turn all the colors of the sky and watch the birds come and go. This is at lock 36 on the rim canal.
Enjoy!

Cool Rush, abstract art

"Cool Rush"

About This Painting:
The second of this non-objective series. I like it because it reminds me of bubbles. This is another analogous study, but I have added yellow also, which is not analogous to the blue family. I just thought it needed a little extra something!
Ready to frame.
Size: 6x6 inches
Media: acrylic on hardboard
Price: $200 USD

Heated Rush, abstract art

"Heated Rush"

About This Painting:
Analogous abstract study. Something way off the beaten path for me! It started as wonderful warm sunspots, then it reminded me a little of blood cells, and finally I thought it could be a crowd of people. Really I just wanted to overlap these colors in a repetitious way. Too cool. Will have to do one in blues now......
Ready to frame.

Media: acrylic on hardboard
Size: 6 in X 6 in (15.2 cm X 15.2 cm)
Price: $200 USD

Dance, tricolored heron

"Dance"
"Let them praise His name with the dance..."  Psalm 149:3

About This Painting:
Here is an older painting: originally created as a demo during an art show. It was fun painting this bird that I took lots of pictures of at Lake Okeechobee. He kept running up and down the beach, and wouldn't fly away. Sometimes he looked just like he was dancing around. Finally he got tired of me following him and took to the air!

Media: acrylic on hardboard
Size: 9 in X 12 in (22.9 cm X 30.5 cm)
Unique custom frame (see below)

Beach Study 4, demo

Sweet Summer Memories 2, landscape with stream and tire swing

"Sweet Summer Memories 2"

Commissioned from a smaller version of the same scene. This one is not just larger but also done in a horizontal format, which I think turned out very nice. (The small painting was a 6x6 inch square.)
Ready to frame.

Media: acrylic on canvas
Size: 36 in X 24 in (91.4 cm X 61 cm)

"Near the Barn," landscape with evergreens and a stream

"Near the Barn"
About This Painting:
This is a larger version of one I did last year called "Old Barn." I really enjoyed painting it on a larger canvas, and I like the barn in red too.
Thanks for looking!

Spring's Delight, mountain landscape, lake with flowers

"Spring's Delight"

About This Painting:
Fun little palette knife painting done completely from memory! Sometimes I just have to play with texture, and the palette knife is my favorite way to loosen up because it is so expressive. I just need a break sometimes from the serious detail and realism of some of my commissions.....
Thanks for looking!
Ready to frame.
