Paradise at Sunset, Florida landscape with wildlife

"Paradise at Sunset"

This painting is the second in a series I started this summer.  I created them both from memory.  The animals are free-handed onto the canvas after I practice drawing them on paper.  This time I reversed things and brightened the sky. Also included deer, egrets, turkeys, hogs, and a gator. This is a truly original painting.  Most of mine are (unless I am doing one for a client that wants something from their photos).  I use my own images and /or my sketches and free-hand everything.  Many artists today copy from photos, literally.  They get enlargements, trace it off -- and sometimes it is not even their own photos!  You can read more about that by clicking here.

Mud Bath, animal portrait, pig covered in mud

"Mud Bath"

I had a blast splashing mud on this guy! I free-handed him onto the canvas and had him all pretty and white, but I just could not help myself. He is a pig after all! So I started with a few little spots of mud, and next thing you know, well, he was covered in it! Then I had to go back and clean him up a little so you could still see his eyes.....Too much fun.

The original is created on gallery wrap canvas. The painting continues on the sides, so framing is optional.

Enjoy!

Size: 9 x 12 inches
Media: Acrylic on Gallery Wrap

I Once Was Lost, piglet and calf

"I Once Was Lost"

About This Painting:
I saw this little wild hog following the calf around again and again, even though the mother cow kept chasing the piglet off.  The piglet would squeal and run away and then sneak back... It cracked me up!

I really enjoyed all the hours of detail in this one.

Framed

Media: acrylic on canvas
Size: 16 in X 12 in (40.6 cm X 30.5 cm)
Price: $1,250.00 (includes shipping in the US)

Luke's Tractor, completed mural

"Luke's Tractor"
Acrylic on a wall
Approximately 9 x 13 feet

Luke is in the tractor with an angel behind him.

Air plane in the sky, angel flying with it.

click on this one to see the doe and fawn in the middle ground.
Cows are in the distance, and hogs are in the mud.

Luke's dog is chasing a rabbit.

This mural just kept growing! I was so excited when the little boy in the tractor began to actually look like Luke! That took a few tries. Luke wanted the tractor stuck in the mud, but I liked it with the grass and didn't want to change it, so I added some mud on the tires.
Thanks for looking!

Oink-Oink, Impressionism piglet, Daily painting

Title: "Oink-Oink"
Size: 5 x 7 inches
Medium: acrylic on hardboard
SOLD

I'm just playing with back-lighting again. I love to try to paint that reflective glow on the shadow side. This little pig had a bunch of fresh cut greens on the ground in front of him, and he could not eat them fast enough!
