We get all kinds of birds like this quite often here. Sometimes I've even seen many different types of birds all feeding together. These are mostly egrets, which come in different sizes. Great White Egrets are the largest, and the Cattle Egrets are the smallest. In-between you have Snowy Egrets and Little Blue herons, which go through a white phase and look like a white egret for a while. We also get White Ibis in this mix! The Wood Storks often sit high in the trees like they are here.

Many times I have gone to the lake to watch the sunrise, Easter just makes it even more special. All the birds seem to be singing praises to thank Jesus for his perfect sacrifice.

I find it interesting that Easter is when the Jews celebrate Passover. What a correlation to Moses that Christ was crucified during Passover.

I also think God must have intended for us to have many gatherings and celebrations, His people had so many reasons for feasts! And they didn't just last for a day, They went on for a week or more!

"On the Edge"

I love these openings from the woods, makes me anxous for what ever wild creature might be just around the corner. This area had tons of vines hanging from the trees, I left a few of them out so I could play up the sun-lit foliage.

Reaching out to those around us, or inward, we all need a touch now and then. God reaches out to us everyday, pursuing us as we rush about our day. He speaks to us through people, through nature, through his written word. Jesus is a gentleman, he never yells, never demands, and never insists we follow his leading. No matter how faithless we are, he still reaches for us, wanting us to talk to him. This scene reminds me of a time when I just heard him say he wants me to share with those around me. I tend to keep my mouth shut, but I have decided that I just can't hold it in anymore. I hope my art reaches you.
