Summer Fawn, wildlife art, deer

"Summer Fawn"
9 x 12 inches
Acrylic on hardboard
ready to frame

This painting is not available

This was a very challenging thing to do! I had a couple of photos of the doe and one of the fawn, and made up the back ground. It think it came together very nicely. I love the little guy walking under his mother! So typical of youngsters to cause chaos for parents. Smile.

Enjoy!

The Sabbath, wildlife, great egret

"The Sabbath"
12 x 16 inches
Acrylic on canvas
ready to frame

I started out with too many colors, and nothing would come together. So I took a little breather and slowed down. Then I put on some worship music and thanked God for all the blessings in my life. Then the painting came together and it felt like Sunday worship service. It was as if God showed up and took my hand and showed me the way. I love it when He does that!

The Sabbath means a day of rest. Saturday or Sunday for most, but if you take your day off in the middle of week that is good too, as long as you give yourself a day of rest! God knew we needed that or we would get to run down.
Some people still get hung up on the old laws, but Jesus only gave us two commandments, To love the Father with all your being and to love each other!!!!

Down By The Water, Animal art, young cow

"Down By The Water"
8 x 10 inches
Acrylic on canvas
Sold

Saw this young cow while taking a boat ride up the creek. She was the only cow around and was very close to the edge, which I thought was odd. The rest of the herd was probably just over the hill. I was attracted to the bright sunlit grass and the wonderful shadows in the foreground.

Lavender Lace, impressionism flowers

"Lavender Lace"
6 x 6 inches
Acrylic on canvas
ready to frame
$450.00

I am doing small studies for future compositions in a larger format. Lavender is one of my favorite flowers. This view has a little more detail than my more abstract paintings of these wonderful flowers.

Wild Clusters, orange flowers

"Wild Clusters"
6 x 6 inches
Acrylic on canvas

NOT AVAILABLE

I painted these from memory, you see them around the fence posts and along some paths around here. I like the impressionistic brush strokes and the thick texture of the flowers against the smooth soft background. It creates a nice contrast as well as the warm and cool contrast.

Enjoy!

"Opposing Forces" palette knife abstract painting

"Opposing Forces"
Set of 2, 6 x 6 inches each
Acrylic on hardboard
ready to frame

No deep hidden message for these paintings, at least not that I am aware of. I just wanted to push around some strong colors, and take a break from representational art. So here is what came about:
I started with swirls of thick bold color, and then decided to go with cool colors playing against the warm colors. I really got lost in the moment. After I finished the first one, I decided to create its companion. They could be hung together or separately, but I am only offering them as a set.

Thanks for looking!

Late Spring, impressionism garden

"Late Spring"
5 x 7 inches
Acrylic on canvas panel

Not Available

This is a take off from "Spring's Arrival" in a different format. I played up the stream more and used only half of the composition. I like the strength of this format, and I really like the stained glass look to the trees.
Thanks for taking the time to look!

 Enjoy!
