This is from my recent trip to California, near LA. Painted this from memory of a car ride up in the mountains. I loved all the contrasts in foliage and rock! Then there would be palm trees in front of the mountains. Too cool.

This was a commissioned piece for a friend of mine. Her niece's horse passed away and she wanted a portrait of him. Forntunately I had taken a few pictures of him a while ago, so we were able to keep the painting a surprise for Christmas.

"Endless Life"
About This Painting:
Evergreen trees are symbolic for life, and angels are messengers from God. Through creation we can see miracles and reminders that we are made to live forever. Our flesh will die, but our personalities, and our spirit will live on. My prayer is that you have invited Jesus Christ into your life so your spirit is united with his, creating a new and unique spiritual being that will live with Him forever!

"Winter Watch" About This Painting:
Lots of detail and realism, love the cool gray sky too. This is one I did years ago! This is from a ranch that belongs to a friend of mine. Took lots of pictures, then mixed and matched them to put it all together.

Just practicing with watercolors. They tend to be more challenging for me. I like the uncontrolled effects of the paint spreading on the paper. May work on this one a little more yet. This was too much fun!

From 2 weeks ago, at White City Park. had a great day out painting by one of the ponds.
Didn't get to paint today. Left everything in my car while I went out taking pictures at the Savanna Recreational area. Got back to get out my paints, and couldn't find my keys! They were in my purse on the front seat with the doors locked! So my husband had to come to Ft. Pierce and rescue me. Then while I waited for him, the batteries died in my camera. Rough morning! We salvaged the day by eating a nice lunch, on me of course!

"Paynes Prairie 2"About This Painting:
This is an older painting that I have wanted to add deer to for quite sometime! I took pictures of these doe running away while I was taking a plein air workshop a couple of years ago at Paynes Prairie. I have brightened the colors, and added the deer and the fog. The deer in the foreground was very challenging to paint at this angle. I think I captured it alright though. It was a very cold and windy morning!
