Created from photos my client sent to me. We changed the background to her color choice, and changed the pose slightly to create a better stance. Hershey is the foal of a miniature horse.

Mud Bath, animal portrait, pig covered in mud

"Mud Bath"

I had a blast splashing mud on this guy! I free-handed him onto the canvas and had him all pretty and white, but I just could not help myself. He his a pig after all! So I started with a few little spots of mud, and next thing you know, well, he was covered in it! Then I had to go back and clean him up a little so you could still see his eyes.....Too much fun.

The original is created on gallery wrap canvas. The painting continues on the sides, so framing is optional.

This is an older painting that I believe I have never posted. It is a tribute to the Bald Eagle making a comeback in Florida. I have always loved the colors and the mood this painting sets. I took pictures of these eagles nesting at a ranch here in Okeechobee.

Mama's Baby, manatees

Many layers of colors were used to get this cool effect under the water. Thoroughly enjoyed myself!

I drew the sketches on paper first (free-hand) Then drew my final choice onto the canvas, I used the paint thin and transparent for the first few layers. Matte medium is a great way to thin the paint without jeopardizing the integrity of the paint.

This painting was created as a custom order. I am currently accepting orders. Can work from your photos, prices are by size.

ICU, great horned owl

This is a custom order. I used pictures that my clients sent to me, but the flash had made the eyes all white and reflective, so I did research to create the eyes. The owl was injured and they took it to a refuge to see if they could save it. Sadly he didn't make it.

About This Painting:
This is the first of a series of 4 palette knife butterflies I did a few years ago.

I wanted to make it look like it was moving quickly, so I used a painting knife for a more abstract effect. 

The symbolism is in the colors: green is for growth and wealth, orange is for warmth and open arms, and yellow is for joy.

This little painting is loaded with thick paint and bold colors.

This is a custom order, taken from "Endless Love." This one was created with painting knives, while "Endless Love" was done with brushes on a smaller board. The knife gives it a more abstract look, as the blending technique isn't as soft. I like the energy the two angels seem to have between them.
