Heaven's Joy, seascape angel at sunset

"Heaven's Joy"

About This Painting:
This is another one I did on watercolor paper. It is a harder support to work on, but nice for framing because it can be easily matted and put behind glass, even trimmed some if needed.

I painted the landscape from memories of Guam. We always had fantastic sunsets with intense colors. I added the angel for wishes of Joy.

Enjoy!

Julia's Angel, palette knife painting

"Julia's Angel"

About This Painting:

This is a combination of "Endless Hope" and "Healing Hymns." I love the flow and the energy that came across in this painting. The palette knife seems to add that extra sparkle that is so well suited for these angel paintings.

This is a custom order.

G-36, Lake Okeechobbe canal, landscape

"G-36, Lake Okeechobee canal"

This is one of the first Plein air (on location) paintings I did with a palette knife. I always liked the way it turned out. It was very windy that day, which added to the challenge. I felt quite proud of myself for finishing it!

Enjoy!

Ready to frame. Media: acrylic on hardboard Size: 8 in X 10 in

Heaven's Help, palette knife angel

"Heaven's Help"

About This Painting:
Emphasised the back-lighting for a stronger glow. Really love all the intense colors. I don't get tired of this series. Every angel turns out a little different, and every one is a significant reminder of God's love and grace.

One of Linda's Angels, palette knife painting

"One of Linda's Angels"

I believe we all have lots of angels looking out for us. Linda must have hundreds, because she was in a terrible wreck that she should not have survived. Her car was crushed by a big truck.

This painting is a reminder of the power of God to touch our lives and heal us, we just have to ask.

Enjoy!

Rocks and Water, seascape rocky shore

"Rocks and Water"

Been out of town a lot lately, so I am posting this one from when I first began doing my daily studies. I still paint most everyday, but not as many small studies. I am doing more commissions and larger paintings based on these small ones.

This is one of a series of three. I really love the abstract shapes in the rocks, as well as the impressionistic look of the splash. Very fun to paint.

Enjoy!

Ready to frame.

painting give-away!

I am planning to have a drawing for a free painting at the end of this month. I'll even pay for shipping! If you want to be included, then send me a first and second choice painting (in case the first one sells before the drawing.) The painting must be priced at $150.00 or less.

See the side-bar of this blog for some of the paintings to choose from, of course I haven't gotten them all listed, but it might help you to decide if you don't have to search through all of the posts.

My friend has a 6 year old daughter that paints with me, and she will pick the winner out of a bowl! Sounds like fun to me!

Creation Sings, Montana landscape, Kootenai Falls

"Creation Sings"

About This Painting:

Did this one years ago. I used to sit here by the Kootenai Falls, in Libby Montana and watch the water roar. There is a swinging bridge that is very scary to cross just down stream from this spot. Sometimes I really miss my family and the beauty of the mountains.

It took me months to paint this large realistic painting!

Thanks for stopping by!

Not for sale.
