On The Edge, landscape with deer

"On The Edge"

Went back and strengthened the shadows and some of the colors in this older painting, and added the doe. Always felt like something should go in the opening. I originally painted this one from pictures I took out painting on location. there were lots of deer in the area, but my photos of the deer didn't turn out very well. I created this doe from memory.

Just touched up this one today. It was painted two weeks ago for a class demonstration, it's a palette knife painting.

My brother lives near Glacier National Park, and I love it when we go up in the mountains. I take tons of pictures!

Took pictures of this great egret on a foggy morning while I was at Lake Okeechobee. We were in a drought and the grasses and weeds had taken over. This whole area was usually under water! I was attracted to the contrast of the orange bushes and the green grasses.
