This is a tribute to Lori McNamara, who does wonderful plein air palette knife paintings! I must say it was exciting, messy, and fun! This is my first one on location using only a knife. My previous knife paintings were done in the studio from my own photos.
These bromeliads remind me of firecrackers, such an explosion of bright color.

Oh wow Fawn! Thanks so much for the tribute! They look wonderful, these are the bromies we call hurricane bromeliads. It is said if there is a good crop of blooms there will be a hurricane that year. Of course they always bloom around this time of year anyhow, hehehe!
Lori, aren't you proud of me? I finally did it on location! Your work always inspires me!
Just lovely! The red is just the right shade. The texture does pay tribute to Lori, doesn't it!
I am very proud of you Fawn, you are doing wonderfully well. ((((Hugs!))))
