About This Painting:
This is a plein air painting (out on location) that I did a few years ago. Eagle Bay is a large marsh next to Lake Okeechobee and it hooks up to the rim canal. Usually you can see lots of wildlife all around this area. I liked the way the palm tree just stuck out of the top of all the brush. I have just gone back and added more highlights, and some egrets too.

Painted from pictures I took in the Smokey Mountains. We were up about 3,000 feet. I was amazed at all the colors even though it was foggy. The palette knife gives this painting a rugged and wild feeling, exactly what I had hoped for!

This is an older painting that is up for bid. I painted this from photos I took on Arbuckle Creek. Everything was so bright and sunny that day, I wanted to try to capture it. Good memories.

Down the Road, reworked landscape with heron and egrets

About This Painting:
Added the stream, a great blue heron and some egrets to this older painting. Also brightened up the colors. This area is down the road from my house. When it rains a lot the little stream is much more visable than usual.
