Evergreen trees are symbolic of life, and angels are messengers from God. Through creation, we can see miracles and reminders that we are made to live forever. Our flesh will die, but our personalities and our spirit will live on. My prayer is that you have invited Jesus Christ into your life so your spirit is united with his, creating a new and unique spiritual being that will live with Him forever!

Lots of detail and realism, love the cool gray sky too. This is one I did years ago! This is from a ranch that belongs to a friend of mine. Took lots of pictures, then mixed and matched them to put it all together.

Painted from pictures of the Savanna Recreation area in Fort Pierce. Got a few good photos before the camera died. Extra camera battery was in my purse, but I had locked my keys in the car! It was a truly lovely morning to behold, however, in spite of my dilemma!

From 2 weeks ago, at White City Park. had a great day out painting by one of the ponds.

Didn't get to paint today. Left everything in my car while I went out taking pictures at the Savanna Recreational area. Got back to get out my paints, and couldn't find my keys! They were in my purse on the front seat with the doors locked! So my husband had to come to Ft. Pierce and rescue me. Then while I waited for him, the batteries died in my camera. Rough morning! We salvaged the day by eating a nice lunch, on me of course!

Paynes Prairie 2, reworked landscape with deer

About This Painting:
This is an older painting that I have wanted to add deer to for quite sometime! I took pictures of these doe running away while I was taking a plein air workshop a couple of years ago at Paynes Prairie. I have brightened the colors, and added the deer and the fog. The deer in the foreground was very challenging to paint at this angle. I think I captured it alright though. It was a very cold and windy morning!

Open, plein air, blooming water lily

About This Painting: I am trying to use my watercolors more for plein air studies. Went to White City Park on Tuesday morning. It was lovely out, birds everywhere, and flowers blooming in all the ponds. This lily had just started to open up when I got there. By the noon hour, it had completely unfolded, and the petals were even hanging down in the water!

Endless Healing, palette knife angel

"Endless Healing"

About This Painting:
My friend, a single mom with 3 small ones, was diagnosed with MS this week. I did this for her. I believe these paintings are like prayer cloths of the New Testament Church, when many found healing through the prayers passed along in cloths. To me these angel paintings are symbolic for God's touch, which we so desperately need each day.

I have heard people say that some paintings, landscapes and seascapes mostly, have brought them healing while they were on there sick bed. They could find peace and rest gazing at that painting until they were well again! What a wonderful thought! It really confirmed my beliefs about these angel paintings too.

These grow near my drive way. Took lots of pictures of them to paint from. I am very interested in all the ruffly edges, and the many shades of red, so that is what I wanted to accent and focus on. I also like the way the leaves turned out!

A small palette knife painting. I was thinking about my first time swimming in the ocean, and remembering when the waves in Hawaii won the fight to keep my body going in the right direction! My little boogie board had cut my belly open and I felt like I had been spinning in a washing machine! I was 13 years old. My older brother fell out laughing at me when I finally found the beach and tried to catch my breath...
