This one needs a little more work, just a few corrections, but I like the overall effect. This Sandhill posed for me, along with its mate, and I got lots of great pictures. This is a combination of a couple of pictures I took that day at the Savanna's in Fort Pierce.

"Crashing Waves"

About this painting:
Created this as a lesson, from several photos. I went back later and added more waves and details to finish it out. When I teach 'follow along' lessons or demos, I keep it very simple, as we try to finish a painting in two hours. It moves quickly, and it is a lot of fun. But we only get the basic ideas in. Some students will bring them back and add their own ideas or finishing details. I usually try to change mine some, and detail it out before I post it for sale, as I always feel like it needs work.

About this painting: I painted this from pictures I took out in Oakview just before Christmas. There were actually 2 deer together here , and before that I saw 3 in a different area! I was interested in the big old oak tree up on the hill, and the bright greens really set it off!
