watercolor on acid free paperI have always been inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe's flowers. I thought this one would look great in watercolors. I changed the colors somewhat and let the composition flow the way it wanted as I painted it in without drawing it first. I used to have my students at the high school do this type of art history study. Of course they had to do a report too!
