I was excited about creating all the fur up close with thick textures. That was my original inspiration.
The eyes were in shadow (in my photos of this Florida panther). I love painting eyes, so I couldn't resist and played them up here. No matter where you go in the room they follow you!
The painting continues on the sides, framing is optional.
This painting was reworked/enhanced in 2019.
