"Eagle Bay Palm"
"Spoonbill"About This Painting: Went out to the Adams Ranch for an annual artist's day paint out. This is one of the many natural springs that flow through the ranch. The water is clear and very turquoise. this photo doesn't pick up the colors in the painting very well, but the blues are a little more of a greenish hue.
I added the spoonbill when I got home, I had seen it flying overhead while out painting, way too cool! (Spoonbills have a shorter neck than flamingos, and they range from white and soft light pinks to dark pinks, almost a red color, and sometimes they have yellow accents too. Very strange-looking bird, with a flat duck-like bill. Very pretty colors though!)
The painting continues on the sides which are close to 2 inches thick, so framing is optional.
